High-speed broadband is essential to the effectiveness of UK business today and many rural areas have suffered through restricted access or poor line speeds. Under the government’s Rural Broadband Programme nearly £300million is now being spent in England alone to provide Superfast Broadband

Superfast Business is an accompanying support project to help ambitious, eligible businesses in the South West identify and maximize the opportunities that superfast broadband and new technologies present. The programme provides businesses with the opportunity to receive support from specialist ICT advisers and to participate in a series of workshops and events designed to help them take advantage of this technology.

Business West are responsible for delivering this project (funded by the ERDF) in the South West and have appointed a team of specialists to help and encourage rural businesses to take advantage of broadband and the ICT systems it provides access to.
